What Will I Do with My Vocational Nursing License?

LVNs work in hospitals, hospices, private homes, clinics, schools, and other healthcare facilities. Doctors and registered nurses directly supervise LVNs.

An LVN closely works with patients. They provide basic bedside care and help patients perform activities of daily living. Aside from these, LVNs obtain vital signs and follow nursing care plan. Because of the proximity of LVNs to patients, they serve as a useful means of communication between the patients and other healthcare team members.
